The words emerge from another place.
You would not ask the pigments of the paint to describe themselves.
Or the paint to explain itself.
Or the leaf.
Or the stone.
First the nouns arrive
And then the colours,
But you cannot really describe or explain anything with them.
You can only point
And maybe someone will look to where you are pointing
And feel or remember or know something.
And then it will be another’s turn to speak.
